Good bottle opener
A tad thinner than I’d like, but still a good bottle opener with the capability to remove pour spouts. The 2 in 1 pack makes for excellent value.

Not the original VRod
I LOVED my old VRod beer blade, but it was stolen.My initial response to these new ones are “meh.” They don’t have the heft the originals had, and the outside edges aren’t as smooth/rounded as the original. The other issue I have is that the taper/bevel on the blade where you insert under your pour spouts is no longer there, which can make it harder to pull your spouts if they’re crammed in tight.I am bartending Wonderfront this weekend, so they will be put to the test and I’ll update with any new info.

I love this bottle opener! Admittedly, I’m not sure who came up with it first, but: 1. These guys sell for less than the competitor, 2. There’s not a cheesy or offensive paint job on the key, and 3. You get two of them! Bottle caps obviously don’t strand a chance against this bottle opener, but sticky or slippery pour spouts come out much, much easier with this setup.Honestly, this key has been behind the bar with me for over 10 years, and I still think it’s the best bar key/bottle opener you can possibly buy. It’s highly recommended for any professional or at-home bartender. Cheers!
