Strongest Possible recommendation
I don’t normally write reviews, but this product not only met, but exceeded my expectations. For people like me, who have some arthritis in their hands and find opening cans difficult with traditional can openers, this product makes the process as close to effortless as it could be.We love it.

Great to help with difficult cans to open.
Love the good grip and more energy for leverage especially if you don’t have great hand strength

Works so well.
So easy to use. Love the magnet on top and it cuts through the metal seams for a perfect open can.

Quality is just not
Ordered because I use it in a concessions setting where I use it multiple time a week to open large cans. I am so disappointed because the first few times I used it, it was great. That changed way too soon. After only three weeks it will not open a can smoothly and I am concerned someone is going to be injured. I will not recommend this tool and would love to be able to return it! Sorry but not sorry!!

Finally, a can opener that works well. We had a can opener for many, many years that eventually fell apart. We had since bought two more and both of those were terrible. The problem was, as you turned the crank, it would not grip the can and just slipped in place. You had to really struggle with pushing down on the can and grip it really hard to get them to work. Both were well known brand names.I took a chance on this one because it was “Commercial” and I’m happy to say, that problem is licked. As you can see in my picture, this has large enough teeth that grips the can very well. The crank makes opening the can a breeze. There is plenty of clearance between that and your other hand (this is for right handed people. Do they make them for south paws?) The magnet is something the others didn’t have and I love it. I used to always stop just short of going all the way around, so I could pry the lid off. With the magnet, you can just cut away, and then retrieve the lid!Its a bit larger and quite a bit more expensive but I expect this to last a very long time. It’s true what everyone is saying about the crank. It will hit the counter with smaller cans. I can work around that. As long as it can bite into the can, grip it tight and open it easily, I’m happy. Recommended.

This is my first time using one of these crank handle can openers and what a breeze it is to use. It’s very useful for people who are older and find regular can openers difficult to clamp and turn. Or people with arthritis or corporal tunnel, or that have maybe had a stroke and lost strength in their hands and arms, etc. Even if your physical strength is not compromised, this commercial crank style can opener is an improvement on regular old style openers. The quality seems to be good. It’s made out of stainless steel. I do wish the handles were a little bit thicker though, as there is a small amount of flex in them. But of course, that would make them heavier. Having said that, I don’t think making them thicker would affect its functionality at all. It would just make them feel a little more heavy duty to me. It clamps on easy and the handle turns smoothly. If you already have a good can opener and have no desire to get something easier to use, or you don’t open cans very often, then save yourself some money and keep what you have. But if you’re in the market for a new or better can opener, take a look at this one. It is an improvement over the conventional style.

Frustratingly I just wrote up my review and it didn’t save, so let’s try this again with the essentials. This is another situation where the product itself is great, but the pricing is way too high to give it accurate stars that are reflective of the item itself. The Can opener is great for those who have compromised wrists because the extra leverage definitely makes a noticeable difference in ease and comfort. The rubber grips are ergonomically designed to support the curvature of the fingers which makes a huge difference for holding on without the fatigue or slipping. The knob is also a good size and rolls on its axis which support a smooth rotation of the crank, and I will say that I am impressed with the mechanism. Two things to keep in mind is that it does not have a place to hang it, besides a circular cut out that is blocked when the handles are closed, and it is not only going to take up drawer space in terms of length, but also in side width because the crank is not removable. The price is not justifiable despite being well built. I don’t know how the seller has worked out the costs but it does seem like a bit of a price-gouge and you would be better off using the funds to buy an electric opener if you are not planning to be off-site.This definitely latches on well and the blade is currently very sharp, I will have to add an update after about 20 cans just to see how sharp it stays after repeated use.I thought that the tab underneath would be magnetic to help raise the partially opened lid, but sadly not (at least on the one I received)All in all, get this if you are in dire straights and need a good can opener. Otherwise, wait for a sale or get an upgrade.

I recently picked up the UHIYEE Commercial Can Opener, and it’s been a bit of a throwback experience in my kitchen. This manual opener might seem like a step backwards in the age of electric gadgets, but it’s proven to be quite useful. What I really like about this opener is its sturdy build. The extra-long handles give you good leverage, making it easier to open even large, stubborn cans. The oversized knob is a nice touch too; it’s comfortable to grip and turn, which is great for anyone with hand strength issues or arthritis.I’ve been using this mainly for big cans of tomatoes and beans when I’m doing batch cooking. It’s become my go to for those massive institutional sized cans that my electric opener struggles with. The heavy-duty construction means it doesn’t flex or bend when tackling these big boys.Another plus is that it’s completely manual; no need to worry about batteries dying or cords getting in the way. It’s also super easy to clean, which is always a bonus in my book. However, it does take a bit more effort than an electric opener, which might not be ideal for everyone. If you’re opening multiple cans in a row, you might find your hand getting a bit tired. The size of the opener is also worth mentioning. While great for big cans, it can feel a bit unwieldy when dealing with standard sized ones.I’ve found this UHIYEE can opener to be a reliable kitchen tool, especially for those big canning jobs or when dealing with large, commercial-sized cans. It’s not going to replace my electric opener for everyday use, but it’s earned its spot in my kitchen drawer for those times when I need a bit more muscle in my can-opening game.
