Every child is a creative genius, and the only limit to their self-expression should be their own wildest imaginations. Fiskars Starter Scissors & Activity Book (Ages 2+) was developed with pediatric occupational therapists for small hands and creative minds. It includes one pair of age-appropriate safety scissors and 30 pages of activities that teach basic scissors skills and inspire kids to create. Fiskars Starter Scissors have plastic safety scissors blades that only cut paper. The easy-to-grip, no-loop handle has spring-action to open the blades after each cut, allowing beginners to focus solely on developing the closing motion. The activity book contains black and white pages with designs that can be colored and cut. When kids use the scissors with the activity book, they learn how to use scissors to make beginner snips and cuts on straight lines, simple curves, and easy shapes. Ideal for ages two and up and suitable for both left- and right-handed use

Great beginner activity book with thoughtful design
We got this Cut and Learn activity book for our 2-year-old, and while she’s still getting the hang of using scissors, she really enjoys it! It’s a wonderful introduction to fine motor skills like cutting, matching, and tracing. The pages are engaging and there’s a nice mix of activities that keep her interested without being overwhelming. One feature I really appreciate as a parent is the quality of the paper — it’s thicker and sturdier than typical activity books, which makes it easier for little hands to manage and less likely to tear accidentally. The perforated edges are also a huge plus, making it easy to tear out a page cleanly so she can work on one activity at a time without distractions. While she’s still learning, we see it as a great tool for developing her coordination and patience. I can see us coming back to this book often as she improves.Highly recommend for toddlers just starting out with scissor skills or any child who loves hands-on activities!

Toddler scissors
The scissors are perfect for a child who is learning how to cut. My daughter is 2.5 years old and she is able to cut with them perfectly. They do not cut clothes or anything, they are safety scissors just differently structured. We have been working through the book so she’s able to get used to cutting along the line. I will probably be buying another book soon because she’s been cutting through this one fast.

These scissors are awesome!
I was looking for a good learn to cut book for my 2 year old and most of them have the plastic toddler scissors with the handles you slide your fingers into. This book caught my eye because the scissors are a different design and looked way easier to use for little hands. If you’ve ever helped a toddler with cutting, you know they flip the scissors all around and don’t grasp the concept of proper hold for a long time. With these ones, it doesn’t matter. They can flip them any which way and still cut paper. The book is fun as well and the pages are perforated so you can rip them out easily. I like that there are large dashed lines on the pages showing where to cut and there are actual cutting activities (eg. cut the line to the flower, cut the page in thirds, etc) instead of just cutting out shapes. This book was priced a little higher than other ones that I have found, but the scissors alone were well worth the purchase. I’ve found that the fiskars brand scissors always cut the best. Even these plastic ones cut through paper easily.

These scissors work so well and are perfectly designed for toddlers. I even enjoy using them myself because they actually cut so well. My kids love this work book. You can color in the pictures and cut them.

Easy to use
Scissors are easy for my 2.5 year old to use and cut through the provided sheets well. Toddler was about to figure it out with minimal instruction. Great for multi purpose activities. The sheets in the workbook are perforated so you can tear out one page at a time to do
