works well but build quality is meh
I had to get a replacement for the first item immediately because the originals glued on wood handles had a huge gap down the length. Like I could put a steak knife blade between the metal and wood, about half way down the length, approx 1/4 inch into the item.I got a replacement fairly quickly, but this one has a similar iffy glueing of the wood to the metal. The wood is glued to the metal BETTER, but it’s still a little gappy and the wood isn’t sanded even at the end of the handle like a higher quality build would be.It has a full “tang”, so that main metal portion should last well. Its just the added wood handle bits that arent awesome.I will use it as it for now, and if/when the wood bits get worse, I will do some DIY work to clean it up.

Good feel, nice operation
My favorite bottle opener is an OXO that I’ve had for years. It is super heavy weight, has a dual lever action head and a great ergonomic feel. When a guest accidentally let it fall into the garbage disposal without noticing, the damage was done as soon as someone hit the switch. It still works but the head is all nicked up. So, I immediately went looking for a replacement on Amazon. This Dropcatch is the best I could find. I like the wood handle, and the head has the same dual lever action as the OXO does. It is lighter and a lot smaller, but still feels ergonomic and will slip into a pocket if you want a “concealed carry”. They make a larger one if you want a big tool, but this mini version is very versatile and functions well for my needs.

Handle is too small and flimsy
I like how tiny it is but comes at the cost for a larger hand. It is too hard for me to operate it.
