The best can opener
Bought this about a year ago, and I’ve found it to be very useful! It took a bit of practice since I never used this type of can opener before, but once I got the hang of it, it was great. Beyond just opening cans, I’ve used the curved pull tool many times to open canned sardines and Costco tomato sauce, which have pull tabs. I’ve also found that I can use the “jar lid vacuum release” feature to open soy sauce bottles and juice cartons that have annoying flip tops.There’s another Kuhn Rikon can opener on Amazon that looks just like this one, but without the multi-tool head on the handle. Since they’re both around the same price, I would say get this one.

4.5I’m not going to lie it’s actually tricky to use at first. Once you get the hang of how to use the can opener it gets easier. While learning how to use the can opener there were sharp edges and shards of metal stuck to the magnet. We also couldn’t figure out how to release the can opener once it was attached, I think we went around too many times and it really got jammed. So maybe not user friendly or.. we are just dumb. 🤣So if you’re anything like us practice makes perfect. I especially like the little gripper on the side so I don’t have to touch the can. Even when we totally butchered one can we didn’t have to touch the top to remove the lid.

I love this product . Easy to use and remained sharp to do the job . I had mine for 14 years . I bought this one for my daughter because I hated all the cam opener she has. They were not reliable. Sometimes it works sometimes not!

Bought this for my son who watched me use mine and commented that he could really use one. It had so many uses all incorporated in one piece. It opens cans leaving a safe edge, it’s a bottle opener, etc. I have had mine for about five years and it works like it’s brand new. Just wish there had been more color choices for this purchase.

This is by far the best can opener money can buy. There are no sharp edges on the tin and I love the gripper that takes the lid off. I’m a lefty and have always had trouble with can openers but this one works really well. I highly recommend it.

My last can opener was terrible and it really made me appreciate having a good one. So, the things I especially like about this one: First, it works smoothly and doesn’t miss any sections. Second, it doesn’t leave sharp edges, and it goes all the way around so there is no little point that sticks up. I can give the cans of dog food to my dogs after for them to clean out – there is no threat that they will cut themselves. This makes them very happy. Third, no part of it touches the food inside, so you don’t have to worry about it getting gunked up or, conversely, rusting from overly thorough cleaning (what happened to the last good one I had). Finally, like others have said, it leaves you with a little lid to cover anything that’s staying in the can. It isn’t air tight by any means, so can’t replace proper wrap if you really need to keep the moisture out, but it’s good for overnight. 🙂 It is fairly big, though, so it you have limited drawer space you might want to put a hook on the wall so you can hang it from the bottle opener.
