Must-have garden tool
My favorite garden tool! This is a must-have for anyone who enjoys gardening. It is so easy to break up dirt around plants, weed in gardens, rough up dirt to plant seeds, etc. I also used the pointed end to clean out all the little maple trees trying to grown in the cracks in my patio, sidewalk, driveway. The sharp edge slices right through dirt. It is important to order the right one for whichever “handed” you are. I am left handed and if I had ordered a right-handed it wouldn’t be useful.

Great quality shorter garden hoe
This is a great quality shorter garden hoe. I use it for planting and removing weeds, and it works fantastic. The metal is solid and heavy duty, and wood handle is great. It cleans up easily after gardening.

Technique is important
I was so ready to write this tool off because it really wasn’t working for me, but then I found a video on youtube that explained a bit of the technique on how to use this tool properly and that changed everything! Look up “nejiri gama” which is the name of this tool in Japanese. I sure feel a bit silly sharing this in a review since it seems so obvious, but hopefully it helps others. It’s now my go-to for weeding between plants in the raised beds.
