After visiting a local sports store to get gloves and balls just for for the proverbial “playing catch with son” and realizing to get a youth and adult glove and several balls was going to run over $150, I decided to try amazon. We haven’t put this through a season of full games just thrown it around in the backyard but it seems as well made as the low end ones from the local sports store at a quarter of the price. It even needs to be broken in a little like good gloves. The foam ball may help with fears of your kid catching a ball to the head but its so bouncy its much harder for a young kid to catch in a glove so suggest getting a T-ball or youth baseball that has more rubber and outer padding if you want them to learn to catch a real baseball, but otherwise no complaints here.
