    My First Compound Bow
The reason I bought the Dragon X9 is because when I was at my local archery range shooting my recurve bow a man next to me was shooting his brand new Dragon X8 compound bow. I was very impressed by its accuracy, and it’s lack of noise. I spoke with the man, and he let me try firing it. It’s draw was very smooth and vibration free. I asked him how much the bow cost him. I was expecting to hear something like $1,200 because that’s what they were charging for compound bows to begin with at my local shop. When he said less than $300, I knew I had to buy one! Unfortunately, I’ve only been able to shoot my X9 once so far. But, I am definitely impressed so far with its ease of assembly and ease of adjustment. The only small negative thing is when I received my bow it still shipped with the original arrows with the long 4″ fletchings which do not properly fit the X9. But, when I wrote to Sanlida, their customer service got back to me in a day, and are shipping me the proper arrows for free! And, I didn’t even have to ship back my old arrows! That is some truly excellent customer service! I just wish more companies would be like that!

    Great starter, good service
Honestly I was surprised at how easy it was to set this bow up. I’m new to archery and looking to hunt in the fall. At a 29” draw it doesn’t pull 70#, I’m pulling at about 63-65#. The only real issue was a common one with the whisper biscuit and the arrow fletching length. That’s where Sanlidas service excelled, they immediately sent me a new biscuit and when that still wasn’t quite right they sent me a dozen arrows with shorter fletchings. I was so impressed with that I bought an x7 for my wife and son who also like shooting. I’m sure I’ll upgrade components as I progress but this is a great way to get into the sport.

    Adjustable
The price is great and the highlight of the bow is you can adjust it. I like this feature so that this bow can be used by me as an adult, also used by my nephews who are between the ages of 8 and 13.

    Did not meet expectation
I was truly excited to get my hands on the Ready to Hunt Compound Bow Package, hoping it would elevate my archery game. However, my experience with this product has been nothing short of disappointing. From the moment I unboxed it, I noticed that the quality felt cheap and not at all what I expected for the price. The bow itself seemed flimsy, and after just a few test shots, I quickly realized that it lacked the accuracy and precision I was hoping for. As an avid archer, I understand that consistency is key, and this bow simply didn’t deliver. It left me frustrated and questioning my choice to invest in this package. Moreover, the included accessories felt like an afterthought. The sight was poorly calibrated from the start, making it incredibly difficult to hit the target even at close range. The arrow rest also seemed poorly constructed; I experienced constant issues with my arrows bouncing off instead of smoothly launching into flight. These problems not only impacted my performance but made me dread going out to practice. In the end, I found myself regretting my purchase and felt let down by a product that promised so much. I hoped for a reliable, ready-to-hunt setup, but instead, I got a bow that’s collecting dust in my garage. If you’re serious about archery, I recommend looking elsewhere for quality and performance.

    Happy Customer
I just got this bow and I love it! I’ll upgrade the accessories but I just enjoy shooting it! Purchased the X7 and have the X9 in the family! I would recommend this bow or any one salinda compound bows. Feels great, solid structure and simple to get started. I’m new to archery and you tube can teach you a lot about this bow! Two thumbs up

Very best bow without spending a great deal of money.
I was in the market for a replacement for my older PSE compound bow, while not wanting to spend a great amount of money. After many hours of research and You-Tube vids., I chose the Salinda Dragon X9 bow. It’s the newest updated version of the Dragon X8, which has the distinction of being the best selling bow sold by Amazon. It’s far exceeded my expectations. It came via 2 day shipping in a factory sealed box that was very well packaged for protection. Upon opening and after inspection, I used the included allen wrenches to change the draw length and weight to my prefered settings. Easy and fast using the instruction booklet packaged with bow. Two You-Tube vids. with the X9 punched in search, also show detailed unpacking along with set-up and right thru shooting first arrows. The package comes with a good quality case and a dozen good quaility arrows and quick detach quiver. The rest of the accessories are pretty much standard quality for these bow packages. After a few practicing arrows, I was shooting groups as tight as I’ve ever been able to do. This with-out any super tuneing was very impressive. While selling for a budget price, this bow’s build quality, materials and shootability are at a much higher level. Also important to mention are my dealings with the customer service team. I had a few questions before and after purchase and received over night replies at all times. I also received a replacement arrow rest via 2 day delivery, to deal with the included rest that has interference with shooting the included arrows. Not a problem with my 500 grain, 28 inch arrows though. Final thoughts are that the Salind X9 is the very option among the many available at anywhere near this price and even above.

Define the term right handed bow ?
I’m left handed but I wanted a right handed bow so could find help setting this up correctly much easier I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but it’s shooting about 8 inches high at 10 yards no matter how much correct the the sight height or adjust the pins but this my first bow so I’ll accept the fact that I don’t know what I’m doing lol the arrows fletchings are holding bends and seem to throw the arrow completely off target also instructions had the whisker biscuit mounted closest to the strings to the point that fletchings are in the biscuit at rest and when drawed it’s holding the arrow to the biscuit becomes unshootable so I moved the biscuit to the front and that problem is no more just accuracy is the issue now if I can get this thing to be accurate I’d loved it

This is an excellent product for the price with good instructions, but was initially frustrating with poor accuracy. I had seen reviews before about the long vanes on the supplied arrows being problematic and fouling or impacting the arrow rest. Some previous reviews even show archers using the wrong vane orientation and crashing the vanes into the brushes on the rest. However even using the correct orientation of vanes in the “gaps” the drag of the brushes was horrendous and this torqued the bow on firing, even when using my other smaller diameter and shorter vane arrows. The brushes are so tight they still dragged badly on the smaller vane bases. I replaced the supplied hostage style rest with a whisker biscuit style rest and the improvement was dramatic and immediate. I now have a much easier to use and accurate unit.
