The only issue i have (and the reason for not giving it a 5 star review) is that though it cleanly opens the can, it takes a lot of turns to do so. Its not slipping, it just takes many many turns.I like this can opener. Its easy to use and easy to turn. it opens by cutting below the lid, not above the lid.I like the fact that i place the can opener on the can and secure by closing the handle. I turn the knob (many times) and the lid comes of the can and stays with the can opener until released. that easy.it is a good idea to, at least, rinse the can opener and let dry. Even if it does not look like there is food on it. if you can actually take a brush to it, that would be good as well. The less residuals, the less gunk can build up.I did not see this can opener until this year, but it must have been around as there are many positive reviews. it does the job.

It really works
I was leary about this can opener but to my surprise, it really does what it says it’s going to do! I especially like it because it’s easy on the hands. I have an electric can opener, but it’s big & bulky. I store it in a cabinet & it’s a pain to get it out, plug it in, use it, then put away. But with this one, I don’t have to do all of that work. Seriously, I recommend this little can opener.

It’s everything the others reviews have said, it’s the perfect, and little can opener. One slight warning, which the lids are basically dull enough to be cut proof, the can itself will be a little sharper than when using the traditional style. Not enough to be a problem in my mind, but just letting you know!
