    Surprisingly Well Made, Good Fun
I was unsure about the durability of this bow and arrow set. Suction cup arrows sets always seem so cheap and flimsy but this set is surprisingly sturdy. We hung the target up in the hallway and my son is able to shoot from a few feet away. The suctions are surprisingly strong and they stick well to the target, in fact, it is sometimes hard to get them off. Great indoor toy for the winter that can easily be relocated outside during nice weather. My only complaint is it has only three arrows. Running back and forth to gather the arrows so often makes my son tire of playing with it quicker than I think he would if he could shoot more arrows consecutively – it’s hard to be Hawkeye when you have to stop to gather arrows every 2 minutes.

Good For Six Year Old Girls
This was a Christmas gift for my goddaughter, who has seen the movie *Brave* and wanted a bow and arrow set. She tore open the package and immediately began shooting arrows at everything, so it was a successful gift in that respect. On the other hand, her mother was less pleased, so be aware of that angle. My goddaughter is six years old, and it took her only a few minutes to get used to this bow and its various features. I suspect that younger children might be too small for this bow, and kids older than about 10 will need a more challenging toy. But for young girls coming down from a *Brave* kick, this is a perfect gift. It’s also easy on the pocketbook, which is always a good thing!

    bonito
esperaba unas flechas más grandes, o que tenga un mayor alcance, peor igual es un juguete muy divertido para un niño de 8 años.

My 6 yr old picked it up easily and it is a good size for her too
My son is almost 4, and he loves this! It was tricky for him to master all of the movements, but he was very motivated to learn, and loves using it! My 6 yr old picked it up easily and it is a good size for her too. I’d guess it is good for ages 4-8.The target is way too small- my kids prefer shooting the arrows at our sliding glass door. They get so excited when the arrows stick. My son is left handed and my daughter is right handed- they both use the bow the same way…I saw some of the other reviews say it is only for left handed people- but mine both shoot with this just fine.

    1) It is DESIGNED FOR LEFT-HANDERS. 2) But regardless, it’s still kinda blah….
Note: $14.99 Prime free shipping @ time of purchase, bought as a Christmas gift for my daughter. And this is one instance where “you get what you pay for.”Until they specifically mention in the product description: THIS IS A LEFT-HANDED BOW.Never mind that in the product pics the boy is shooting right-handed with a LEFT-HANDED BOW, it’s designed for LEFT-HANDERS! It’s more efficient for LEFT-HANDED kids to shoot this LEFT-HANDED (bow held in the right hand, arrow drawn back with the LEFT HAND) Anyone who’s done archery knows that THIS IS DESIGNED FOR LEFT-HANDERS! LEFT-HANDERS!! LEFT-HANDERS!!!Additional notes: THIS IS DESIGNED FOR LEFT-HANDERS!But HEY!- it’s still just a toy. Kids have a way of figuring things out. My daughter is left-handed, so on THAT note this toy fit the bill. Some of her right-handed friends will adapt and play with it. There are some left-handed people in my life who’ve naturally adapted to doing things right-handed (’cause right-handed stuffs are CHEAPER than most left-handed stuffs, like guitars, golf clubs, yeah, you know…)But other than that…meh…Looks REALLY nice, like an actual recurve bow juiced-up with modern technology (read: laser sight!)!Some quality-control issues: 1)One of the suction cups on the arrows was malformed and would not stick. 2) Shooting distance may or may not be an issue, but you need to get close to the target to get the arrows to stick (in our case,10ft). My daughter didn’t find it satisfying to be that close to the target, I think because she’s played with cousin’s Zing Air Hunterz Z-Curve Bow, Standard Packaging, and that toy launches the suction-cup arrows pretty far (AND sticks). 3)Once we removed the paper-like tab from the “laser” sight (don’t worry, it’s actually like a red penlight) it would not shut off. There is a button I assume is an on/off switch on it but no amount of pressing it would shut the light off.So yes, it is a nice-looking toy but performance-wise, I think it’s more appropriate for children younger than six who’ve never played with a toy bow-and-arrow set before.Nuff sed. Nuff CAPS (whew, that was fun).

    Bow and arrows
My 4 year old loves this toy. He’s an expert at setting it up and shooting the arrows. We have the target stuck onto a low window and he does pretty well. The arrows are light plastic with a suction cup at the end. The target is only about the size of a small dinner plate, and the string on the bow is a tough elastic string- which I think is key to my little guy’s success n launching his arrows successfully. He uses the plastic case to cart his arrows and other various plastic weaponry around the house and yard, and he thinks he’s a pretty bad dude.

    only for very small children
This might be fine for very small children who want to pretend play. But for a kindergartener like the one I got this for, it is useless. The arrows have no fletching so the don’t fly straight. In fact, they often spin around sideways by the time they reach the target. The bow string is a very loose elastic that barely gets any tension. I had to shorten it to make it tighter in order to make it useful. My son was excited to get it for his 6th birthday, but he only played with it for half a day before finding it useless. If your child wants to actually try to do target practice, do not get this. If they want to do pretend play, this is fine.
