    Amtgard
Great bow for amtgard. I’ve bought 4 of these bows in the past 5 months. However, the poundage they advertise is wrong. The 20lb version only has a 16lb draw weight. The 30lb bow only has a 22lb draw weight. The 40lb version has a 28lb draw weight. It still outperforms most of the other bows on the field though. Very quick to load and shoot. Pretty accurate. I can get it to hit someone clear across the field 30 yards away. I took 3rd place at a local competition with the 30lb (aka 22lb) version last month. I’ll be using the 40lb (aka 28lb) version at another competition next month. So far, great bow for a beginner.

    Perfect for what I wanted
I did not put this product together but my family did and said it was quite difficult. So I guess I can’t comment to that but it worked perfect for what I wanted on vacation up North with my family just shooting darts it aluminum cans in front of a dirt Hill. The only problem we encountered was we were rinsing the tips in the lake from the mud and they did get rusty so dry them right away.

    Very nice
My husband was able to put it together for our daughter in about a minute or 2. Very simple and easy to use. Our daughter loves it

    Amazing customer service
The bow is easy to assemble, the draw strength is far below 30 lb, and I got several fiberglass splinters when I was taking it out of the box.EDIT: the seller contacted me and asked if they could send another bow to make it right, I asked for coated fiberglass to avoid splinters and correct draw strength… And they did! I am blown away! Why didn’t they do it properly the first time?! The replacement is perfect and I am happy with it.

    Questionable
The target faces are descent. The arrows are about crap, the “cock feather” isn’t aligned properly with the nock and might as well be the same color of the other vane, and the nocks them selves are too lose on the string to where you need to keep a firm “grip” on the nock as you draw the string back or the nock will fall off the string. Both ends of the string where the nock loops are are not properly served, the continuous loop strings are bare where they lock into place at the bow nocks and the string refuses to set/stay in the string groves on the limbs at the nocks and get out of alignment. It is 40# at 28″ and about 50# (I forget exactly) at 31″ that is my thumb release draw length at my ear lobe. It shoots best on the left side of the riser with either thumb release or Mediterranean release.

    Not great
Understanding that this bow was right or left handed, I would have asssumed the arrow would nock straight. It did not. For my right handed alignment, the arrow did not line up straight when I tested it all out. Seller was unhelpful. Do not recommend.

This is a great bow for target practice or whatever you want to do. My advice is to check your pull before you order. I made the mistake of ordering the 40 lb pull but as it turns out it’s a bit much. I have contacted the dealer to replace the Leafs for the 30s. It’s a good sturdy outfit for the money I am very happy with this purchase.

I haven’t taken it out to practice but it seems like a good quality bow and arrow set

Its definitely better to know your dominant eye and handedness so you can get a bow specific to your dexterity so the arrows don’t fall off the small shelf as easily, but still, once you add some nocking points and serving thread onto the nocking area to prevent the arrows from simply falling off the string, the shooting experience is quite nice.
