    Ehhh…
Wasn’t expecting much with a 20 buck glove. It almost made it through the season, minus 2 games. The pocket blew out in the last games she used it and it is irreparable…

A good first glove that he/she will outgrow in 2 years.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I know how fast kids out grow equipment (and how fast they lose interest) but I wanted a beginners glove that my grandson would like and that would be pliable like a glove should be.  Many of the starter gloves are a stiff plastic material that would make it difficult for anyone to catch a direct throw or hard hit ball.  One of the reviews on this glove described how much it felt like leather and how flexible it was.  So, I got one and we have just started with tennis balls and for a beginners (inexpensive) glove, it’s soft and won’t take long to break it in.  I had forgotten how small these first gloves are.  This one is fairly square, 9″ top to bottom and 9.5″ across the pocket at most.  It is big enough to catch and scoop ground balls, but still needs you to form the pocket when it is new.  There is light padding in the palm and it is stitched like a glove should be.  Which allows you to loosen the glove in some areas if a child has bigger hands.  The exterior material is soft but feels durable enough to last a few years.  I picked the black color more to give a little attitude.  I am not crazy about red or blue gloves.  I have rubbed a little oil into the palm and pocket, and I keep it folded with a full size baseball push hard into the middle to form the impression you need. It’s a lot nicer glove than I started with which was my Dad’s old glove and way too big.  I hope he sticks with it.
