Don’t buy anything from this company. Just reading the text about the product and the text of their e-mail asking for my review, tells me that they are prone to hyperbole. Look, guys. If you write about this inferior corkscrew and your objectives for your company in such glowing terms and it’s not true, you will alienate customers when they try to actually use this product. (It also makes one doubt anything else you may want to market.) On the first try to open a wine bottle, the coil which is just one curve short of the average corkscrews of that size, didn’t go deep enough into the cork after the handles were pushed down, so I screwed down some more. The collar on the inside of the bottle grip clung to the top of the bottle, so I did the old fashioned move of placing the bottle between my knees and tugging the cork out. I could not get the inside collar of the corkscrew off the bottle so I just left it there and threw it away with the bottle when the wine was “gone”.The moment one holds this thing it seems really cheap and tinny. That feeling is confirmed as my kitchen scale showed the difference in ounces (see photos). Wow. This was a loser.

For years I was using one of the little corckscrews that you take out of the sheath, turn by hand, and then yank out of the bottle, but after using this I’m not going back. My upper body strength game is weak, and there’s nothing quite as frustrating as trying to get wine (or in my case it was especially tasty beer) out of a bottle and being thwarted by a stubborn cork. Never again! This item seems to be made well and makes sure I get my bottled joy asap. Love it.
